C Diff Colitis Diet

A C Diff colitis diet is a secondary part of treatment once the cause of C Diff is gone. C Difficile colitis is caused by the bacterium, Clostridium Difficile and many times there is a resultant condition called C Diff colitis that carries with it another set of problems and symptoms.

Antibiotics must be used to kill C Difficile and then your C Difficile colitis may be treated successfully with a C Diff colitis diet and an all natural supplement plan.

A diet for C Diff colitis begins with the same dietary advice that many others use and some additional dietary advice that is specific to you.

We must start by doing what all other C Difficile colitis patients must do and learn what we should not eat.  Dairy products and gluten containing foods are out as they are both known to be pro-inflammatory.

No dairy products other than butter can be consumed. The only products from a cow you can consume is beef and butter, if you choose to eat them. Please read all ingredient lists on the labels of products in your home inspecting for the words milk, cheese, lactose, whey and casein. You may find it surprising where you will find hidden dairy. Become a dairy detective!

A diet for C Difficile colitis for all patients will also include the elimination of gluten containing foods: wheat, oats, barley and rye are now gone from your diet. Add gluten detective to your resume as well!

Please download Dr. Dahlman's free Crohn's/Colitis report available at the bottom of this page for a more detailed discussion of the above eliminations.

A food allergy test fine tunes the additional diet for C Difficile colitis advice specific to you and will reveal what foods are contributing to the inflammation of C Diff colitis and causing your symptoms. This test finally answers the confusion about why you cannot figure out what to eat or not eat.

Following the above advice means that all other foods not dairy, gluten containing or found positive on the allergy test can be safely eaten.

With a couple of exceptions. If you continue to have symptoms even though you follow the above advice and are using the all natural supplements Dr. Dahlman recommends...a fructose elimination may be your next step. Fructose is found in all fruit, corn, beets, carrots, peas, tomatoes, onions, eggplant, sweet potatoes, turnips and winter squash and any type of sugar including honey, molasses, maple syrup and agave. More detail abut how to eliminate fructose can be found in Dr. Dahlman's free Crohn's/Colitis report available for download at the bottom of this article.

A planned step-by-step process of elimination of these foods while we utilize all-natural supplements to re-establish beneficial bacterial balances and restore proper chemistry while also using natural anti-inflammatory herbs and other compounds is the strength of Dr. Dahlman's diet for C Diff colitis treatment.

Remember, Dr. Dahlman will personally design the exact diet for you that is necessary to eliminate this condition. Don't suffer!
