This headache video allows Dr. Dahlman to describe headaches, their possible cause and an all natural treatment plan to eliminate headaches.
Headaches are a lot of fun, aren’t they? Pain and pressure…not to mention the endless pain medications…sometime working, sometimes not. Don’t you wish you had a solution or maybe even knew what caused them.
A headache is a possible symptom of a number of different conditions of the head and neck. Some can be serious, but most are quite benign and part of many peoples daily life…unfortunately for them. Headaches can be broken down into a few different categories. The dreaded migraine headache, sinus headaches…then there’s the cluster and tension headache. Traditional medicine like to categorize them depending on the exact symptoms like where the pain is and the description of the “quality” of the pain. I like to call them headaches. Let’s keep it simple.
What I have found to be effective for headache patients is to look at three possible causes for the headache. The main cause of headaches in my clinic is the eating of dairy products. Don’t you hate me already? Imagine having to give up your beloved cheese and all other dairy products as well. I’m serious, dairy is the #1 dietary villain and may be the cause of your headaches. Would you give up dairy if I was right? Most of you probably would.
The second cause and you’ll be as equally enthusiastic about this too, is a food allergy or many food allergies. Lovely. More about how to determine your food allergies in a minute.
The third most common cause requires a visit to your Chiropractor. A simple series of neck adjustments have solved many an unsolved headache. Since I can’t adjust you in this video, though I’m working on that…let’s focus on the two dietary possibilities as the cause of your headaches…regardless of which type of headache you may have.
First, you need to figure out if dairy products cause them and the way to do that is simply to stop eating all dairy products, except butter…you can have that, if you chose to eat butter. So, give up milk, that means any type of milk, even if it has Lactaid or acidophilus in it, give up cheese and ice cream as well as sour cream, cottage cheese, cream cheese and yogurt.
Read all ingredient labels on the boxes, can, jars, bottles, frozen foods in your kitchen, looking for the words: milk, cheese, lactose, whey and casein. Stay away from fast food…too much cheese in most of that and ask lots of dumb questions from your server in a sit-down restaurant. They will be very happy to help. Also, check out a much more detailed description about how to eliminate dairy at DrDahlman.com, click on “Dairy Free” right over here on the left side of your screen.
Food allergies also are high on the list of causes of headaches. A specific blood test is the best diagnostic tool I know of to identify the foods that may be the culprit. Skin prick tests are too inaccurate and identify immediate allergies and that is not usually the case with most food.
You want to know what your delayed allergies are and it explains why you have not identified these foods as you can eat something Tuesday for lunch and not have a headache from it until Friday after dinner. You will never put those two events together. Please go to DrDahlman.com and again on the left side of the page, please click on “Laboratory Tests” to learn about the differences between food allergy tests. Don’t suffer from chronic headaches of any kind. There is usually a cause that traditional medicine is not addressing and I hope you find these tips helpful.
