Summary:
Irritable Bowel disease is actually an inaccurate term. Irritable Bowel Syndrome disease doesn't exist as it is a reversible condition, not a disease. Irritable Bowel disease would be more accurately defined as an unhealthy, imbalanced or inefficient organ system.
