Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģ has been recently introduced and furthers the Metagenics reputation of producing one of the best vitamins on the market. There may be others that are as good, but none better.
Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģ comes with and without iron and is highly recommended to be used without iron. More on that later on the page.
Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģ now contains a proprietary blend of concentrated plant extracts and phytonutrients with scientifically tested biological activity to protect cells and maintain DNA stability‚Äďactivating health potential like no other supplement.‚ô¶
Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģ also contains high potency B vitamins with extra B-12, antioxidant protection, mineral amino acid chelates for better absorption and 1000 IU’s of Vitamin D3.
Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģalso includes lutein, zeaxanthin, lycopene, and resveratrol in this formulation.
The proprietary phytonutrient blend includes Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex (hesperidin), green coffee bean extract (chlorogenic acid), pomegranate whole fruit extract (ellagic acid), grape seed extract (polyphenols), blueberry fruit extract (polyphenols and anthocyanins), green tea leaf extract (catechins and EGCG), bitter melon fruit extract, prune skin extract, watercress herb 4:1 extract, cinnamon bark powder, Indian gum Arabic tree bark and heartwood extract, rosemary extract, artichoke leaf extract.
The folic acid used in Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģ is called L-5-methyl tetrahydrofolate. Another fancy name, but what it means is that it is the most usable form of folic acid.
Folic acid is found in many forms and regardless of which type, the body converts it almost every time to L-5-methyl tetrahydrofolate at some stage. So, why not start with that form in case you have trouble with all the conversion steps. There are those of us who cannot fully convert folic acid to its most usable form and a small percentage of people can’t use it at all because of a genetic defect.
Why No Iron?
Iron interferes with the absorption of a few nutrients and excess iron is linked to health problems such as heart disease. Only take iron if you have been found to be anemic and if so, take a separate supplement at a different time than your Metagenics PhytoMulti¬ģ without iron.
