Summary: Autoimmune disease are conditions where the immune system reacts improperly to the body's own tissue. Autoimmune diseases can be overcome through a change in diet and improvements to the health of the gastrointestinal system.

What is Autoimmune Disease?

Autoimmune Disease occurs when an overactive immune system responds against substances and tissues normally present in the body. The body actually attacks itself in autoimmune disease. The immune system mistakenly thinks that some part of the body is a pathogen (should not be present in the body) and attacks it.

In autoimmune disease, the body may attack certain organs or particular tissue in different places.  The treatment of autoimmune diseases is typically with immuno-suppressive medication which decreases the immune response.

List of Autoimmune Diseases

The following is a list of the most common autoimmune diseases, but not a complete list:

  • Ankylosing Spondylitis
  • Crohn's Disease
  • Graves Disease
  • Diabetes Type 1
  • Hashimoto's
  • Myasthenia Gravis
  • Psoriasis
  • Psoriatic Arthritis
  • Polymyositis
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Scleroderma
  • Sjogren's Syndrome
  • Systemic Lupus Erythamatosus (SLE)
  • Thyroditis
  • Ulcerative Colitis

Autoimmune Disease Treatment

Autoimmune disease patients have two common threads: poor bowel function and a diet that contributes to the condition. Poor bowel function can create food allergies which can play a role in triggering the immune system into creating chemistry that inflames.

Autoimmune disease treatment in my clinic involves improving gastrointestinal function through dietary changes and the use of all natural supplements. Autoimmune disease is very much linked to….in spite of what your doctor might say…it’s linked to diet. I know that food allergies, especially to dairy products contribute to autoimmune disease and we must identify them for you to see any improvement.

There are natural protocols available to help you to re-establish beneficial bacterial levels and restore proper chemistry while temporarily eliminating certain foods from your diet as well as identifying food allergies. Followed to the letter, you can improve and possibly end your condition.

(Yes, we know you may not have that condition, but the
anti-inflammatory treatment for Crohn's/Colitis also works for autoimmune diseases)
